This was the second dress that Petra made. It is made of wool, lined with linen. Every part of the dress, except for the hem, was hand sewn by Petra. The hem was hand sewn by Petra's aunt to help with meeting a deadline. The hat was made by Master Matthaus (me). The hemd / chemise was also sewn by Petra's hands.

This gown was designed after several dresses in paintings and drawings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. This was the second dress she made, this time with a pattern drafted from the ground up with a little assistance from me. She made it to be her wedding gown (the wedding being the above mentioned deadline), but also for day to day wear at events.
