This armoured corset was made entirely with recycled, re-purposed, and second-hand materials. It is made out of parts (steel plate-like links, and roller bearings) scrounged from bicycle chains and garage door chains; leather from yard sales; and jump rings made out of stainless steel welding wire. The little buckles on the shoulder straps were commercially made, based on medieval buckles - I bought them for another project but decided to use them on this because they (and a similar but slightly different design) were all I had on hand at the time for small buckles. |
